"If music be the food of love, play on."
— William Shakespeare
Music is universal. It encapsulates the feelings, emotions, and bonds of the human condition. But the functions of music are more involved in our lives than we may think.
Because humans have a large set of emotional experiences, music can have an impact on the way we feel. It can comfort us and even help us regulate our emotions.
Many people say that music can help them concentrate. And while some music can help one relax, other types of music can help with creativity. It can also enhance physical activity and performance.
